The Potato, the egg and the coffee.

A daughter once complained to her father"Oh father, i am so miserable. My life seems to be full of problems. I am tired of struggling all the time". The father took her to the kictchen "I will boil some potates in this pot... Some eggs in the second pot...And brew some coffee in the third". The daughter was puzzled-"Father, you just don't care. I am telling you about my troubles and you are teaching me how to cook!".

The father only smiled and waited for a while & said "I will now take out the eggs, pour out some coffee and check if the potatoes are done".

Father: Now, look closer & touch the potatoes.
Daughter: They are soft.
Then he asked her to shell an egg
Father:How does it feel inside?
Daughter: It is hard-boiled.
Father: Now, take a sip of the coffee & tell me how it tastes?
daughter:MMM....Its delicious! So refreshing.
Father:There's a lesson to be learn't here, my child.
The potato, the egg & the coffee faced the same test of boiling water. But each reacted differently. The potato went in strong, but became soft & breakable. The egg went in fragile but became hard inside. The coffee released its aroma, changed the water and created something new..

WHEN WE FACE TROUBLES IN LIFE WHAT TRULY MATTERS IS WHAT HAPPENS WITHIN US.  WILL WE BE LIKE THE POTATO, THE EGG OR THE COFFEE BEAN??

A Discovery

The great Italian scientist, Galileo, made a famous discovery in 1581, while attending services in pisa cathedral, he saw a chandelier swinging in the air. It seemed that the chandelier always took the same time to swing first one way and then the other, regardless of how far it swung each time. As there were no accurate clocks in those days, Galileo measured the time of each swing by feeling his pulse and counting the beats. The answer was always the same. What Galileo had discovered was the pendulum. Using this, it proved possible at long last to build clocks which kept time accurately.

CULTURE

Culture, first of all , is not loud ;
it is quiet , it is tolerant , it is restrained.
You may judge the culture of a person by his silence , by a gesture , by a phase , more specially ,
by his life generally...

I LIVE THROUGH THIS DAY ONLY

I will try to live through this day only and not tackle my whole life problems at once.
I will be happy. I will assume to be true to what Abraham Lincoln said, “Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be”.
I will try to strengthen my mind. I will read something that requires effort, thought & concentration. I will learn something useful.
I will exercise my will in the following ways: I will help somebody and not get found out. I will do atleast two good things which I could not earlier; Just to execise control over my mind, I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt.
I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can , dress neatly , talk low , act courteously , criticize not one bit , not find fault with anything & not try to improve or regulate anybody but myself.
I will have a programme. I may not follow it exactly but I will have it thereby to save myself from two pests: hurry & indecisions.
I will have a quiet half-an-hour all by myself. During this half-an-hour , I will try & get a better perspective of my life.
I will be unafraid. Especially , I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful and to believe that as I give to the world, so the world will give back to me.
